Mariya is Back!

Meet the creative group behind the lens; Paz Turner Creative Group, a New York based Production Company, who direct and produce promotional model videos, also known as “Video Go Sees”. These videos are becoming increasingly popular, and useful for clients who can view them almost anywhere worldwide.

We recently caught up with the Creative Group to ask a few questions.

MTC LS: Who are some of your Clients?
PTCG: Clients include model agencies such as Trump, Ford, MC2 and Elite Models. We have also worked with the likes of Maggie Rizer, Elena Melnik, Lisa Cant and Ashley Smith, amongst other top models.

MTC LS: Whom would you love to work with?
PTCG: MADONNA!

MTC LS: Which models do you find are easier to work with Male or Female?
PTCG: The better looking they are, the easier it is... we are not gender specific.

MTC LS: What do you think is appropriate attire for a go see?
PTCG: Form fitting and trendy clothing is the most appropriate. Neutral colors, minimal make-up and heels are a must for females. In the words of Carlos Paz, "It’s better to be more Calvin Klein than John Galliano".

MTC LS: Can anyone get a model go see video, or just models signed with agencies?
PTCG: Anyone can get a Video Go See. Models come in all different shapes and sizes, and a Video Go See can only benefit. We work with all types, including models and actors/actresses.

MTC LS: Why not just Polaroid’s? Why a “Video Go See”?
PTCG: A polaroid is more of a documentation while a Video Go See not only documents but shows movement and personality; more of the model's essence.

MTC LS: What is the most enjoyable part of creating a “Video Go See”?
PTCG: The most enjoyable is when we hear from the models and agencies that they have booked a job as a result from their Video Go See.

MTC LS: What’s your favorite place to shoot a video? How do you decide where to shoot?
PTCG: Our favorite place to shoot is our rooftop studio.

Last Thursday night MTC Casting Inc Co-Produced AMFAR's Inspiration Gala @ The NYC Public Library on 42nd St.
The night's main event was a runway show filled with beautiful male models (provided by Wilhelmina Men) in outlandishly styled fashions by various top designers. The models strutted down a dramatically lit runway located in the in the heart of the Libray, which was lined with seated celebrities including honoree Jean Paul Gaultier Ricky Martin, Cyndi Lauper, Kelly Rowland Estelle and Host Kylie Minogue. Also in attendance were some of the city's best designers (like the ever so shady Marc Jacobs, and sweet John Bartlett) and A-list fashionistas whom all showed up to support AIDs research.
MTC would like to say a special "Thank You" to David Yu, Niki Thomas from amfAR, as well as everybody else at amfAR for their amazing work!!!

She is from El Destrito Federal, Mexico. We street scouted Luz here in NYC, and landed her in Ryan McGinley's latest project. Ryan photographed her for his upcoming book of B&W nude photography. “May You Never Be Uncovered”

We recently had the opportunity of working with photographer Kate Orne.

She has spent the last decade photographing women, children, celebrities, men, models, and just about anything that captures her eye under the sun.

In her most recent work “May You Never Be Uncovered”, Kate depicts the lives of victims of the Pakistani sex trade industry, documenting their struggles in photos, using art as a connection to wider awareness in the outside world. This body of work examines the uneasy peace between Islamic fundamentalism and the profanity in the brothels. Repressive fundamentalist Muslim laws not only shun these women's existence but in some areas make their actions punishable by death. Kate’s purpose with this project is to raise awareness about this little known community, and to raise funds for the education of the children of the sex-workers, with the mission to break the cycle of children being born into prostitution, sex abuse, drug addiction and crime.

Kate has worked among the neediest people in the east using photography as a tool to fight against indentured slavery and for the wellbeing of women, children, and animals.

Born in Stockholm, Sweden, she is currently residing in New York City. Her work has been featured in such notable publications as The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Esquire, Interview, Artnet.com, Arena, Vibe, Spin, Marie Claire, Dansk, Harpers Bazaar, Glamour, Tokion, +81, Dune among others. The recent winner of the prestigious CFDA award set the standard last night on Bohemian Luxe.

In a city such as New York, where everybody believes they know fashion, Sophie Theallet is

sure about what she is doing. She premiered her Fall/Winter 2010-2011 collection last night

in Chelsea, with a front row including her Majesty Ms Wintour, Andre Leontelli,

Carine Roitfeld, Lynn Yaeger, Judy Collinson, Linda Fargo to name a few ... The collection, styled by

Kat Neal, reminded one of how special clothing could make you feel! Supermodel Coco Rocha, who

opened the show, was flowing down the runway like a princess set in an urban fairytale. The audience

was captivated by the chic, sophisticated designs the Parisian born couturier was showing.

Her best collection yet! ... Eyes on Chrishell everybody!

Look At Lindsey Now!

Last July, our “Book Her If You Can” post featured the face of up-and-coming Lindsay Wixson, the now fifteen-year-old model and art student from Kansas. Lindsay inspired us to pose several hopeful questions about her future career -- questions that we’re pleased to see, have been answered! Wixson has since opened for Prada, closed for Miu Miu, walked in Custo Barcelona, landed a Miu Miu campaign, (photographed by Mert Marcus), worked with Craig McDean for W, with Daniel Jackson for i-D, Raymond Mayer for Teen Vogue, booked a shoot with Steven Meisel for Italian Vogue and graced the cover of City Mag (shot by Tim Zaragoza), amongst other things. Diversity Finds Its Way Onto The Runway

Is Asian the new black? There’s an Asian uprise in the industry! There has been A lot of attention being focused on these lovely white porcelain faced beauties, and we can't help but notice either. Last season on the runway we featured models like Du Juan@ IMG in Vivienne Tam, Danni Li @ Elite in Vivienne Tam, Tao Okamoto @ Supreme in David DelFin. In campaigns we featured the Liu Wen @ Marilyn in Converse by John Varvatos. Seems like Vogue Magazine has also been smitten by their epicanthic fold. The Magazine just shot all 4 girls, and included Kiki Kang @ New York Models(who we LUV!), and Ping Hue Cheung @ Major, for the February 2010 Issue. Stay tuned to see what MTC we'll be sending down the runway this season! Our Casting Coverage begins next week of New York City's Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2010/11.

It's been days since we've been waiting to confirm Tomek@Elite for the

John Varvatos show, no thanks to the crazy mess being created by the

gang over @ Prada. It turns out that the creative crew wanted to chop off

his golden locks a la Britney, and Jonas Kesseler@Dmen as well!! ?

Everybody was against it from the get go, including the boys, their agents,

MTC, other clients, EVERYBODY!

He and his savvy management finally decided not to give in to Prada's

crazy demands and was canceled from that show!

In our opinion Both Tomek and Jonas are two of the of the best male models

in the industry, consistently booking top notch gigs, and an

absolute pleasure to work with!
